I can't believe it's already been 9 weeks since the beginning of the school year, and yet, I'm really happy to see it gone! Sad as it seems, the beginning of the school year was pretty dreary...although becoming a step up from a Freshman was a good thing (although people still think I'm another step up or so...) along with getting to see my friends again.

Though I got to admit, it's not all that bad. I made some changes to my life for my 10th grade season. I've started doing stuff with my hair (I tell you what, 20 minutes really puts a person out there in the morning) and I've actually started caring about whether or not my clothes look good. The whole summer I spent earning enough money to put towards my High School wardrobe (call me crazy...but it was interesting to see some of my old stuff leave my closet for once) and I think it paid off nicely.

Other than the whole "I've made myself pretty" program going on in my basement, I've gone ahead and let someone special into my life. I'm sure you've heard Rosalie and Ryuu going crazy over this here and there, but I have a boyfriend now, and I feel a bit better about myself (although I'm still not eating lunch like a regular person...sour milk and rotten food does a lot to a person). I'm getting along with new people and I'm starting over come my fear of big crowds and new people...it's quite nice being able to talk to a crowd of people without your voice cracking or faultering.

On the down side though, it seems like people are straying away from me. I think of it as a somewhat ego bruiser because Walter's (boyfriend) friend doesn't seem to like me all that much. I mean, sure, I've put myself off as being a nice person to him, but it still seems like he's a bit upset that Walter's got someone else to spend his time with...I feel bad and I'm contemplating whether or not I should turn down the offer to go to the movies with the two of them; I don't want to ruin the relationship with them...but I don't want to make either of them dislike me in any way. I've dealt with a lot of people not liking me for something stupid (like being happy every so often, the music I listen to, etc.). I feel like I should give him some sort of excuse for why I wouldn't go, but I don't want to lie to him...nor do I want to put something like this out there. If I say something, I guess I'm just afraid his friend will deny it and keep it bottled up inside, sort of like the way I do when I feel down...

I need to get my mind off of such depressing topics... >3< I've finally got my drawing pad back in order (make-shift notepads are the best!) and I'm really excited. In about 5 weeks, I'm leaving to go on a week long trip to New York City, New York (rather obvious...). Don't worry, I'll take lots of pictures for you guys, I promise! Speaking of which, I need to find out what size shirts I'm supposed to bring back for everyone that asked!

Hopefully things start looking brighter by next Quarter (1st ends this Friday, the 30th)
